Formulas of Surface area and Volume

In this blog you will be seeing the formulas for finding area volume and sides of figures like Square trapezium and etc.

Square


Perimeter of Square : 4 x sides

Area of square : side x side

Total Surface area of Square : 6 x (side x side) 

Lateral surface area of Square or area of four walls : 4 x (side x side)

Volume of Square : side x side x side 

Diagonal of square : side  x root 2 

Sides of Square : Perimeter/4


Rectangle




Perimeter of Rectangle : 2(L+B)

Area of Rectangle : L x B

Total Surface area of Rectangle :  2(L+B X B+H X L+H)

Lateral surface area of Rectangle : 2 H (L+B)

Volume of Rectangle : L x B x H

Diagonal of Rectangle : In root L square + B square 

  

Parallelogram

Area of any parallelogram when Height is Given is :
Base x Height


Rhombus


Area of Rhombus = 1/2(The product of diagonals)

The Perimeter :  4 x side 

Trapezium


Area of is trapezium : 1/2(Sum of parallel sides) x (Distance between parallel sides)



Circle



Circumference of circle : 2 pie x r

Radius : diameter/2;

Diameter : 2 x r 

Area : pie x r x r 

When there are two radius : pie(R x R - r x r)

Volume Of circle : 4/3 pie r x r x r

Volume of Hemisphere : 2/3 pie r x r x r
